The Exhibition
An Exhibition focused on the extraordinary beauty, complexity and resilience of trees. Through a series of detailed and evocative artworks the exhibition explore their abstract patterns, sculptural forms, and textured surfaces to become focal points that invite close observation and contemplation. The exhibit seeks to acknowledge the aesthetic richness of tress, and to draw attention to urgent environmental challenges.
About the Artist
Ken Pattern is a Canadian artist whose work has been shown in many solo and group exhibitions in North America, Asia and Europe. He was born in New Westminster, BC and studied Sociology at Simon Fraser University. Ken later attended the Emily Carr College of Art and Design in Vancouver where he majored in printmaking with an emphasis on lithography. He works in a variety of media including painting, drawing, and printmaking. His detailed and intricate work covers a wide range of topics from urban and rural landscapes to surrealistic and realistic interpretations of scenes and events which concern him, including climate change.
