Code of Conduct & Safety Tips
Group Code of conduct has been established for the comfort of all our community members.
NO SHOW
Event organizers take the time and effort to organize events as volunteers and when we use a Venue such as a restaurant or other places with limited space, it's important to change your status to not going if you can't make it. If your registered as going and do not show up your attendance is flagged as a NO SHOW, if a member is flagged more than 3 times as a NO SHOW, their profile is automatically deleted from the group. Showing your going to an event and not showing up may end up costing the event organiser if there is an event cost involved and blocks others who may be on a waiting list from being able to attend.
SHOWING UP / BUT NOT REGISTERED FOR ACTIVITY OR EVENT
Sometimes the Venue we reserve or use has limited space. For this reason we sometimes set limits or need to know how many seats to arrange. If you show up without being registered it makes it hard for the event organiser(s). Please show respect to our Volunteer Group Organisers and register if you intend to go to an event or activity. Sometimes a person may decide after the event has already started. This situation is ok but it would be polite to contact the event host to see if it's ok to attend. Please try to register ahead if your thinking to attend an event.
ARRIVING LATE
Arriving late for an online event, especially classes, can be very distracting for the teacher and the other members. often it disrupts the session. Please be considerate and arrive on time. We do understand there can be circumstances such as arriving from work just on time or transit issues.
RULES FOR COMMUNICATIONS & CONTACT INFO
Let's keep it comfortable for everyone. Members may not ask other members for their contact information. This includes phone numbers, e-mail address, social media related or communication applications. These rules apply until a member has reached the silver or gold levels of group involvement meaning they have been in active attendance over a period of time without issues and once they are better known to others. We have a community participation score. The more active you are and without issues, the higher the score. The higher the score, rules get relaxed. Keeps it fair and comfortable for everyone.
Please, no hitting, recruiting or trying to sell products or services to other members. We have a Market Place and/or Ad programs for non intrusive ways to reach members.
SELLING PRODUCTS / SERVICES
We do not allow sellers of services or products to solicit our group members. This includes agencies, schools, insurance, agencies and other services unless they have been authorised by our admins. If someone is trying to sell you directly or contacting you to sell something, please report them.
If you experience problems with a person bothering you with undesired communications or contact, please Report Them so we can keep our community comfortable and safe for everyone.
POLITICS, RACISM, HATE, BULLYING & RELATED
We have zero tolerance for Racism, Hate, Bullying & Related attitudes or conduct. We are also a politically neutral community. If we find evidence or complaints are received about such conduct you will be removed and banned from the platform. In the event actions are of a criminal nature, we will report any situations to Law Enforcement.
